Crazy8s, entering its 7th year, is Canada’s most successful short filmmaking event. Supported by a wide-spectrum of Vancouver’s Entertainment Industry, the contest equips five up-and-coming directors with cash, tape stock and professional tools, and then challenges them to create a screen-worthy short film in under eight days.
Five winners emerged out of a fierce competition from an unprecedented number of filmmaking hopefuls; 65 groups who pitched their stories over two days. The 5 directors, backed by their writing/producing teams, bring their vision to life May 26 to June 2, then see its culmination in a gala screening, June 4th, at the Vogue Theatre.
